Terms of Service for Reclaim

1. Introduction

Welcome to Reclaim. By downloading, installing, or using our app, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use Reclaim.

2. App Services and Features

2.1 Free and Premium tiers

• Free users can add up to 3 friends, create 1 group, and have up to 10 unsettled IOUs at a time
• Free users do not have access to bill scanning
• Premium users have unlimited friends, groups, and unsettled IOUs
• Premium includes smart bill scanning with receipt parsing, priority support, and early access to new features

2.2 Core features

• Track and manage IOUs with friends or groups
• Create recurring IOUs for regular expenses such as rent or shared subscriptions
• Split bills equally or enter custom amounts for each person
• Bill scanning with receipt parsing handled by Google Gemini. Receipt images are processed but not stored. Only parsed amounts and who owes them are saved
• Payment deep links for Venmo and Cash App
• Optional push reminders through Firebase Cloud Messaging
• ReCredit Score system showing payment reliability over time

2.3 Subscriptions and Payments

• Subscriptions are billed through Apple in-app purchases
• Pricing may vary by region and is shown in your local currency
• Subscriptions auto-renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before renewal
• If renewal fails, your account returns to the Free tier
• No refunds except in limited cases at our discretion. For exceptions, contact ishaan@ishaantek.com

3. User Accounts and Data

3.1 Account creation and age and consent

• You provide email and password or sign in with Google which shares your name, email, and profile picture
• You may upload an avatar and optionally add Venmo or Cash App usernames
• The app is available for users of all ages
• Users under 13 must have parent or guardian consent
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account

3.2 Data collection

• IOU details including amount, note, participants, creation date, and recurring status
• Group interactions
• Receipt scanning processed by Google Gemini
• Account creation time, premium status, and Firebase Cloud Messaging tokens
• Subscription status managed by RevenueCat

3.3 Data retention

• Profile data retained until you delete your account
• Settled IOUs deleted 14 days after settlement
• Parsed receipt data deleted when the related IOU is settled. Receipt images are never stored
• Backups and logs may persist for up to 30 days for security and debugging

4. Changes to Service

We reserve the right to:

• Modify or discontinue any part of the service
• Change subscription prices or availability
• Update these Terms with reasonable notice by posting a new version on this page

Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

5. Limitation of Liability

The app is provided "as is" without warranties. We are not responsible for:

• Any inability to use or access the app
• Any consequences of using payment deep links or external services
• Any interruptions in service availability
• Any losses or damages resulting from your use of the app

6. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to Reclaim for violations of these Terms or any other reason at our discretion. You may delete your account at any time via the app.

7. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States.
